Casey Lucas is the winner of the 2020 Sir Julius Vogel Award for Best Short Story. Her short fiction has been published in venues such as Diabolical Plots and Year's Best Aotearoa Science Fiction and Fantasy. She edits Japanese manga for English publication and works in video game development, where her recent projects have been shortlisted for four New Zealand Games Awards.
