Charlotte Macdonald

Charlotte Macdonald is professor of history at Victoria University of Wellington Te Herenga Waka and a fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand. She has twice been president of the New Zealand Historical Association and is the author of a number of books including A Woman of Good Character and Strong, Beautiful and Modern. Her 2019 article ‘From Woolwich to Wellington’ won the Mary Boyd Prize for best article in New Zealand History.
