David Townsend

David Townsend is a former UK Director of Social Services in Camden, Haringey and Croydon, London. A UK parliamentary Labour candidate, Ministerial Special Adviser and speech writer and contributor to the Guardian, Independent, Times. Most recently he has been a regular contributor to the RNZ website on the subject of Brexit which he regards as a total disaster. He is not a complete nerd and enjoys playing tennis at an enthusiastically average level and volunteering at Newtown school when fully fit. He is an avid cinema and theatre fan.
