Melanie Harding-Shaw works as a public policy advisor in Wellington and writes science fiction, fantasy, and horror from micro-fiction through to novels. She has been a finalist for Best Short Story in the Sir Julius Vogel Awards three times, and last year won the award for Services to Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror in 2020. She has been widely published.
