Serena Benson

Serena Benson won the 2017 Surrey Hotel writers residency award, and worked on a memoir of her drug addiction and recovery. After studying at Otago University, she worked in newspapers and television, and lived in Guernsey in the Channel Islands. The dot.com explosion saw Serena sell her soul to public relations, working for clients throughout Europe. She now lives in Auckland and works as a self-employed PR consultant. Serena was born in Dunedin in 1972
