Chris Abercrombie is the president of PPTA Te Wehengarua, the union representing 21,000 secondary and area school teachers in Aotearoa New Zealand. Chris is a history and social studies teacher with about 20 years' experience in the classroom. He is currently on leave from his teaching position at James Hargest College in Invercargill while he serves as PPTA president. Chris is married with four young children.
