John Payne is head of tax at the Government's $39b New Zealand Superannuation Fund, and convenor of the tax thought leadership group the Corporate Taxpayer Group. He is a member of the Commissioner of Inland Revenue 's Business Transformation Reference Group. Payne is a fellow member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, and has a B Com from Auckland University.
