E mihi ana ki ngā tohu o nehe, o Waitaha e noho nei au. Megan Clayton (she/her) is a writer from Sockburn, Ōtautahi, where she works in higher education. Poems and essays by Megan have been published in collections and journals including Overland, Tell You What, Takahē, 4th Floor, New Zealand Review of Books and Enamel. Megan acknowledges Ngāti Wheke of Rāpaki, from whose kaiako she first learned, as manuhiri, the story of Tamatea Pōkai Whenua and ngā mauka that carry his name.
