Terms and Conditions for competitions on The Spinoff
A ‘Competition’ is any activity on The Spinoff website, newsletter or social channels with a prize.
Eligibility: Participation in the competition is open to New Zealand individuals aged 18 years and above, unless otherwise specified. Employees of The Spinoff and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Entry Requirements: To enter, participants must follow the specified instructions provided in the competition post on The Spinoff website, newsletter or social channels. This may include actions such as liking the post, following the account, tagging friends, or other specified actions.
Entry Deadline: Entries must be submitted within the timeframe specified in the competition post. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
Winner Selection: Winners will be selected randomly (or by specified criteria) from all eligible entries received. The selection process will be conducted fairly and impartially.
Notification: Winners will be notified via email or direct message within five days after the entry deadline. If a winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, an alternate winner may be selected.
Prizes: Prize details will be outlined in the giveaway/competition post. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or other substitutes unless explicitly stated.
Privacy: Personal information will be collected for the purpose of administering the competition and as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By entering the competition, you agree to receive occasional emails with updates about the Spinoff. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Disqualification: The Spinoff reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions or that is deemed inappropriate or fraudulent.
Changes: The Spinoff reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the giveaway/competition at any time for any reason without prior notice.
