Last night, whilst Simon Barnett was weeping his way through a winning pasodoble, another notable New Zealander debuted a winning performance piece of their own. It was Max Key, who finally launched his holiday video after much Instagram anticipation/boob-leering promo shots.

I’ll be honest, I was a little disappointed. In this post-Blair Witch GoPro era, it takes a lot to create a found footage film that is both original and visually compelling. Unfortunately, this is neither. Save yourself four-and-a-half minutes and enjoy the top ten moments as painstakingly selected my me. Or just watch it here.

1) Baller as “works deluxe” option

Oosh. Check out these high rollers with their neighbour-free seat, mineral water, inflight entertainment and optional newspaper. I reckon Max watched this.

2) Amelia on pony patrol

That’s what that neighbour-free seat was for…

3) Shocking feet

A chilling scene. Not sure whether to be more alarmed by the sheer drop or Max’s filthy feet.

4) John Key pays tribute to the late, great, James Gandolfini

5) Yet another infamous homage

Say what you will about Max Key, but at least he’s got that intertextuality on lock.

6) Pensive John Key on a rock

7) Tiny Max Key ponytail

The sun sets on this hairstyle forever.
