A poem by New Zealand-born writer Rachel Sawaya.
It’s That Big
my butt is gigantic
not in the way
that clouds are
not a giant peach
it doesn’t float like a pair
of hot air balloons
it’s more of a flatbed truck
with a load of timber
and a loose tarp
or rather, like two
parked side by side
just waiting on
those rough as guts
guys with hubcap hands
to finish their steak and eggs
and keep on rumbling
down freedom’s way
