An incomplete guide to what’s happening on Record Store Day tomorrow

Record-Store-Day-logo

Tomorrow is Record Store Day. Up and down the country music fans will be swarming their local record stores to buy records and see bands play. Here’s what’s happening when and where.

Some people love it. Others hate it. Some people used to love it and now hate it but want to love it again. Some queue for a chance to buy limited edition records, see local bands and support their favourite store. Some blame the day for clogging up pressing plants around the world with unnecessary represses of already widely-available records, squeezing out the smaller operators that the day is, in part, meant to support. Some just go for a browse and a free coffee.

Whatever your stance, here are all the things we know are happening on Record Store Day around New Zealand.
