Things have been a little quiet on the Paul Henry front of late. Since his final episode of the late night Paul Henry Show last year, there has been a serious shortage of Paul. No smug grin. No hysterical laughing at rodents. No description of impoverished countries as shitholes. There was a weak online attempt at finding him an online intern, but the Internet was left with more questions than answers.

That’s right, we have it on good authority that Paul has been galavanting around the States whilst the team back home scrabble together to assemble his cutting-edge multi-platform daily morning show. Whether you like it or not, he will rise again sometime after Easter. Just like Jesus.

TV3 have quietly realised these new promos for his show, that confirm that Paul Henry is definitely more than a “thing” – he’s an astronaut:

One small step for Paul, one giant leap for New Zealand’s breakfast entertainment. Whether it’s forwards or backwards? We’ll find out soon enough.
