
Avril Bell is a Pākehā New Zealander and honorary associate professor in sociology at Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland. Throughout her career, she has researched what it means to be Pākehā and how our colonial history shapes Māori-non-Māori relationships. She is the author of two books and many papers on these topics. Her most recent book is Becoming Tangata Tiriti: Working with Māori, Honouring the Treaty.
