Michael Steedman (Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Te Uri o Hau) is kaiarataki in the office of the Pro Vice Chancellor (Māori) at the University of Auckland, and was previously kaiārahi in the Faculty of Science. Dr Hirini Kaa (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Kahungunu, Rongowhakaata) is a historian, a minister in the Anglican church and kaiārahi in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Auckland.
