Roger Hall is New Zealand’s most successful and blazingly popular playwright. His plays have included Middle-Aged Spread (1978) and You Can Always Hand Them Back (2012), and his television shows have included Buck House (New Zealand’s first TV sitcom) and Gliding On. Roger was born in Essex in 1939. He was awarded the Burns Fellowship in 1978, and the Prime Minister’s Award for Literary Achievement in 2015. Roger was born in Essex in 1939.
