Singles Club season 2: Bryn and Ku

Our award-winning docuseries Bryn & Ku’s Singles Club returns July 7.

In season one of Bryn and Ku’s Singles Club, comedians and best friends Brynley Stent and Kura Forrester embarked on a cross-country quest to explore the state of dating and relationships in modern day Aotearoa – and maybe even find love for themselves. The award-winning docuseries took them everywhere from a fishing trip off Rakiura to a bowls club in Thames, learning more along the way than a swipe on Tinder could ever teach them.

A year later, everything has changed. Returning for a second season of Singles Club on July 7, both Bryn and Ku have embarked on new relationships and are facing life-altering decisions and changes ahead. Ku is pregnant and living with her new partner Mark, while Bryn is in a relationship with Vinny but has a UK visa that is fast running out. With both women at two very different crossroads in their lives, they hit the road again to figure out what comes next.

The next chapter for Singles Club includes a solo trip to Hamilton for a taste of starting over, the pair visiting Ku’s nieces and nephews for a hectic parenting refresher, and travelling down memory lane in Pōneke as they meet up with their ex-boyfriends to consider the paths they decided not to take. And, as the visa looms large over Brynley and Ku nears her due date, a trip to her whenua in Tokomaru Bay is a chance to reflect on the meaning of home.

Before both their lives change forever, the pair return to Tāmaki Makaurau to take stock of how far they have come and what awaits them just around the corner.

Bryn & Ku’s Singles Club is made with the support of NZ On Air.
