Baden Vertongen (Ngāti Raukawa) has a Master of Science from Massey University and a law degree from the University of Otago. He is legal counsel for the Raukawa Charitable Trust. He has worked on a wide range of legal issues affecting Māori organisations and those who work with Māori, including the negotiation and settlement of Treaty of Waitangi claims.
