Chris Tooley

Dr Chris Tooley (Ngāti Kahungunu) is the Chief Executive of Te Puna Ora o Mataatua based in the Bay of Plenty. He is the Vice-Chair of the International Work Group on Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA), a member of the Academic Board at Te Wananga O Aotearoa and is Deputy Chair of Te Huarahi Tika (Māori Spectrum) Trust. He is also an advisor to the Iwi Leaders Chairs Pou Tangata Group. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and was the Chief Ministerial Advisor to Sir Pita Sharples, Minister of Maori Affairs, Associate Minister of Education and Corrections during his two terms of Parliament between 2008-2014.
