Garrick Cooper is a Senior Lecturer at Aotahi School of Māori and Indigenous Studies at the University of Canterbury, researches and teaches indigenous and black philosophy. He is from Ngāti Whanaunga (Hauraki) and Ngāti Ranginui (Tauranga Moana).
