Monica Macansantos is a graduate of the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas, and Victoria University’s IIML. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Colorado Review, The Hopkins Review, The Pantograph Punch, VICE NZ, Electric Literature, and elsewhere. Her debut collection of stories about Filipinos in the motherland, in the US and in Aotearoa, entitled Love and Other Rituals, is forthcoming from the University of Melbourne’s Grattan Street Press in September 2022. She has recently completed a novel about the Marcos dictatorship entitled People We Trust for which she is seeking representation.
