Patricia Grace (Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Raukawa, Te Āti Awa) is one of our most important and celebrated writers, known for novels such as Cousins and Dogside Story as well as collections of short stories. She is a Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit and has won numerous awards, including the Neustadt International Prize for Literature, widely considered the most prestigious prize for writing after the Nobel. Grace lives in Wellington.
