Tamsyn Muir grew up in Howick and now lives in Oxford, UK. She is a wildly successful sci fi / fantasy / horror writer. Her first novel Gideon the Ninth (2019), carrying the redoubtable blurb "lesbian necromancers in space", was nominated for both a Nebula award and a Hugo award, and was a New York Times bestseller. The book was the first in her Locked Tomb series, which she planned as a trilogy but recently expanded to a quartet. The final book releases in 2023.
