The Commerce Commission is currently investigating a suspected pyramid scheme in Hawke’s Bay. Speaking to RNZ, the Commerce Commission’s deputy chair Anne Callinan said, “While the investigation is in its early stages, we believe we have a duty to publicise this potentially illegal scheme so Kiwis are aware of the risk of becoming involved.”

Pyramid schemes can be hard to spot, and once you’re in, it can be tough to get out. So, here’s some advice from the experts on how to spot a pyramid scheme before you’re in too deep.
