The fifth biannual Aotearoa New Zealand Gender Attitudes Survey shows that a third of young men think “gender equality in New Zealand has gone too far”.

This is in line with global trends published by Ipsos last year, showing that 31% of Gen Z men and 20% of Gen Z women think staying home to look after your children makes you “less of a man”, compared to 10% of boomer men.
