You can almost
guarantee no one’s
going to stop
for a single shoe
lying in scraggy
roadside grass:
not for that
lone soul.
Brian Turner
Brian Turner is a writer who lives in Oturehua. He has played international hockey for New Zealand, worked as a golf caddy around the world, and is the author of books of essays and verse. Brian was born in Dunedin in 1946.
