Mostly I’m finding: Not many matches, then ghosting, and pretty patchy results.
My last serious relationship was: We were together for two years, but it ended because of poor communication on my part. I tried to apologise, but my apology wasn’t accepted.
The worst date I ever had: Got a migraine at the end of this coffee date, where I genuinely felt like I was being subjected to an exam to be recruited by the FBI. “One and done” seemed to be the sentiment on both sides, I guess.
The best date I ever had: We had three coffees on our first date — I guess we were both full of beans! The conversation just flowed, and we ended up going to the beach afterwards. It went so well that, before the date ended, she even took me along to a $2 shop to pick up something she needed.
The most regrettable thing I ever did on a date: Tried to be additionally funny… clearly the jokes didn’t land, or got lost in translation.
The best thing a date ever did for me: Not judging me on the first date, having a warm smile throughout, and even slowly finishing the drinks just to avoid leaving the place.
The biggest red flag I’ve seen on a date: People becoming counsellors on the first date.
