My living location is: Manawatū
The apps I’m on: None
I’m looking for: A decent woman who has finally found herself.
Mostly I’m finding: Plenty of decent women who have spent a lifetime failing to find themselves.
My last serious relationship was: 23 years. Married, one child, we both deserve medals for putting up with each other's crap for so long.
The worst date I ever had: I was working in outback Australia and took the boss’s daughter to Brisbane for the weekend. We took off for a couple of days before the team realised we were kind of already an item, discovered all we had in common was sex, and our secret. Came back and packed my bags before things got awkward.
The best date I ever had: A sunset picnic with a bottle of champagne and nibbles in a small cave overlooking Purau bay on Banks peninsula.
The most regrettable thing I ever did on a date: Took my date to a restaurant my other girlfriend was working at.
The best thing a date ever did for me: Did a shift of sentry for me because I was tired and fell asleep after our "date" We were both in the Army at the time.
The biggest red flag I’ve seen on a date: I must be colourblind, I never see them till it's too late.
On a date I usually wear: Probably the same clothes I wore last time they saw me, and will be wearing on the next date.
I have sex when: The time is right.
I wish dating was: As easy and natural as it was in the 90s.
This is what I think about who pays on dates: Whoever pulls their card out first.
Three words that describe my dream date: Natural, engaging and exciting.
My dating advice is: Get amongst it and let things happen naturally.
