At the end of the government’s boot camp trial, eight of the 10 participants completed the programme, seven re-offended and one died in a road accident. Labour’s children’s spokesperson Willow-Jean Prime said it was “a complete failure”. Children’s minister Karen Chhour said that feedback was “overwhelmingly positive”.
