There are no humans

in this poem. They left

 

before it arrived, leaving

only pubic hair and beach

 

paraphernalia. This poem

has no humans. Instead it has

 

black sand and conglomerate

rock (the logical conclusion

 

of volcanism) and tiny waves

collapsing on black sand.
