We round up everything coming to streaming services this week, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV, ThreeNow, Neon and TVNZ+.

Run (TVNZ+, March 1)

Brenden Abbott might not be a name familiar to New Zealanders, but his string of high-profile bank robberies and prison escapes made the notorious criminal a household name in Australia. Run, the high-octane six-part miniseries which dramatises Abbott’s life and crimes, stars our own George Mason as “the postcard bandit.” Playing his mother is local screen icon Robyn Malcolm, whose role may remind viewers of her legendary turn as Cheryl West. Sure to get your blood pumping, you’ll love this crime caper if you’re a fan of Underbelly and Animal Kingdom.

The Lady (Neon, February 24)

There’s plenty of scandals surrounding the British Royal Family, but the sordid story of former royal dresser Jane Andrews is a tall tale you might not have heard of. Featuring BAFTA winner Mia McKenna-Bruce as Andrews, this tale of royal dressers, love affairs, and bloody murder chronicles how the dresser for the Duchess of York went from rubbing shoulders with nobility to a high court dock, convicted of murder. Also starring Natalie Dormer as Rachel Ferguson, The Lady is tailor-made for devotees of The Crown.

Karate Kid: Legends (Prime Video, February 23)

The 2010 Jaden Smith-led reboot of the Karate Kid franchise may have disappointed fans of the original trilogy, but Karate Kid: Legends is a charming throwback sequel that throws all the right punches. Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan reprise their roles to tutor up-and-comer Ben Wang, a kung fu wunderkind uprooted from Beijing to New York. Struggling to adjust to life in the Big Apple and targeted by bratty schoolyard bullies, he enters a high-stakes martial arts tournament to prove himself. Heartwarming, exciting, and surprising,” the whole whānau is bound to love this kick-ass film.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV, February 27)

Godzilla x Kong: Supernova might not be coming out until 2027, but fear not, season two of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is here to fill that kaiju-shaped hole in your heart. With the fate of Monarch and the world hanging in the balance, our heroes Anna Sawai and Wyatt Russell journey to Skull Island to uncover the mystery behind the appearance of the ancient Titan X, a bioluminescent ocean-dwelling beast. With season one hitting all the beats fans yearn for,” this latest season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters promises to deliver a boatload more chills and thrills.

Scrubs (2026) (Disney+, February 26)

Unlike other failed reboots of beloved millennial franchises, JD and Turk’s return to Sacred Heart hospital hits the right combination of nostalgia and update, standing among the few reboots that do justice to their originals without marring their legacy.” Joined by an ensemble cast of old and new faces, the two rekindle their legendary decades-old bromance, while getting up to speed with modern medicine and overseeing a motley crew of baby-faced interns. If The Pitt is too much to handle, this cherished medical comedy is a welcome change of pace.

Pick of the Flicks: Relay (Prime Video, February 28)

This “smart and twisty surveillance thriller” follows Oscar-winner Riz Ahmed as Ash, an anonymous broker for corporate whistleblowers. When Lily James’s Sarah comes to him for help with evidence of a dangerous biotech cover-up, he breaks his own rules by getting emotionally close to her, setting in motion a fleet-footed game of cat-and-mouse a cut-throat counterintelligence operative. Reminiscent of North by Northwest and Three Days of the Condor, this paranoid, near-perfect thriller for our device-dependent age will have you on the edge of your seat.
