A sponsored post listing the new shows to hit Lightbox this November, including Hasselhoff’s return, brooding ballet drama and one of Norway’s biggest shows in 2015.
Hoff the Record (available now)
Fans of Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Comeback will enjoy Hoff the Record, starring Baywatch legend David Hasselhoff, 30 years after Knight Rider. The series follows him as he travels to the UK to film a biopic about his own life – and doesn’t even get the part. Tearing apart his own public persona and laughing openly at the desperation of the once-famous, Hasselhoff “bares his soul and mines his past for laughs so gamely, you end up admiring him and rooting for him.” (The Telegraph)
Billy and Billie (available now)
Prepare to see Seth Cohen from The OC as you’ve never seen him before in Billy and Billie, the offbeat comedy that looks at two stepsiblings who share a very close relationship. Adam Brody and Lisa Joyce star as the two main characters, whose step-relationship reaches a new level after a drunken romp. Will they stay together? What will the world think? And who is going to tell Mom?
Full Circle (available now)
With an all-star cast including Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck) and David Boreanaz (Buffy, Angel), Full Circle follows eleven different characters as they slowly reveal how their lives are intertwined. With each episode beginning at a different restaurant over a different dinner, this drama thrives on the idea that “the end is just the beginning”.
Trollied (available now)
Set in England, inside a fictional supermarket called Valco, Trollied follows the hapless staff deal as they cope with the everyday hurdles of running a large value supermarket. An offbeat workplace comedy not unlike Green Wing, Trollied is there to observe the wild relationships between the staff, customers and managers on the shop floor. Take a coupon and get in line.
Eye Candy (available now)
