We’re delighted to launch the first episode of our new monthly podcast about books and the people who write them.
Welcome to Papercuts, the podcast all about books! Introducing your hosts:
Jenna Todd is the manager of Time Out Bookstore in Mt Eden and reviews books regularly for RNZ and 95bFM.
Louisa Kasza is a publisher, freelance writer and former bookseller living in Tāmaki Makaurau.
Kiran Dass is a writer, reviewer and bookseller living in Tāmaki Makaurau. She has contributed to the NZ Herald, Sunday magazine, Sunday Star-Times, NZ Listener, Landfall, Pantograph Punch, The Spinoff, The Wire (UK), RNZ and 95bFM.
In this first episode, Jenna, Kiran and Louisa discuss the upcoming Auckland Writers Festival, the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards fiction shortlist (Jenna was a judge!), some great recent reads, and the mysterious and controversial figure that is Jordan B. Peterson, if that is in fact his real name.
Oh, and we find out which Baby Sitters Club characters we are… and one of us is Mallory Pike.
